"The Spy Who Loved Me" - Is the title a suitable one?

OO7 movies are titled mostlty on the basis of their themes or stories or any specific dialogue. But this one is certainly an exception. Actually I watched this movie a number of times to get any link between the title and the story. Although rated as one of the best Bond movies, the most disappointing thing I personally feel is its title. The only valid reason might be that the Russian Major falls in love with Mr.Bond even when she finds out that he is the assassin of her former lover. What do you think about this title? Craig Earns Top Honours!

Daniel Craig has earned top honours at the British Film Awards of the BFA. These are one of the most prestigious film awards. He has also been nominated for Best Actor in the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards. He will go against the likes of Forest Whitaker(for The Last King of Scotland )and Leonardo DiCaprio(for Blood Diamond) for the BAFTA award, which will be given out this Sunday, February 11, 2007.
Till now no Bond actor has ever earned a BFA. This sets Daniel aside from the other Bond actors. This will also silence the critics who have had it enough after he spelled success on the silverscreen.

The Many Faces Of Mr.Bond -- Who's NEXT?

Since the 1960s James Bond movies and the actors have been tantalizing us with their moves and thrills. Many Bonds came and went, some were hit, some were not. Starting with Sean Connery, till Daniel Craig, all the Bonds created their impressions on our mind. I personally find Roger Moore and George Lazenby to be worthy of the OO7 title (that doesn't mean that the others don't!). I feel their stature, voice(the perfect male voice) were the best suited for the perfect OO7. After Pierce Brosnan offered his resignation as OO7, the tough task of choosing the best bond came up. Many actors came under the scanner including Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, out of which Daniel Craig was the chosen one. At first, critics bombarded with their criticism, especially, after Daniel broke his jaw during a stunt, but that only promoted his ratings and Casino Royale was the secondmost profitable movie after Pirates of the Caribbean : The Dead Man's Chest. The question arises that who will be the next? George Clooney? or Nicholas Cage? or Tom Hanks? or Tom Cruise?.......The question still remains a question....

Bond Gizmos and "Q"

Hi!
One of the most fascinating things in a OO7 movie were the unusual and deadly gizmos. If you are a Bond fan you can never refrain from being a gizmo freak. Bond's gizmos included some great cars most of them being Aston Martins and Porches. But all of them were not only fast but also highly lethal, thanks to dear old "Q",who never JOKES about his creations. Apart from cars, Bond's gizmos included firing cigars, deadly C4 dynamite detonating watches (these watches, time and again saved him from pandemonium), and yes, how can you forget the GPS system?well, the list goes on and on......

The World's First Official OO7 Camera ! ! !

Ahoy! The world's first official OO7 camera is on the loose! The other day I was just surfing the web for some Bond news when I saw this gadget coming up. With dimensions as low as 2.25 x 1.5x0 inches it can really be considered as a spy gadget. The speciality of this camera is that it is dressed as a lighter and is housed in a metal case with a flip cover. Alas! The camera is not equipped with a flash! This camera can also record video upto 12 minutes! Well for more just go to :

Best of the Dialogues of Mr.Bond

Hiyaa!
Bond movies have been characterized by many intigruing things.....one of them being the dialogues....I've tried my best to select some of the best of these dialogues filled with extreme shrewdness and sarcasm....these dialogues have always been at the tip of my tongue....

Tomorrow Never Dies
English Defence Minister : Where exactly has this mystererious GPS signal come from?
M : We're still investigating.....
Admiral :..STILL INVESTIGATING!!...with all your respect M, sometimes I don't think you have the bones for this job!!
M : Perhaps, but the only advantage is I didn't have to think with him all the time..
English Defence Minister : That's enough!!

James Bond : Tell me Elliot, I was just wondering about your satellites, the way you have positioned yourself globally....
Elliot Carver : They are really tools for information,Mr.Bond...
James Bond : Note this information..say if you want to manipulate the course of governments....or people........or even a ship
Elliot Carver : (Giggling) Thats very interesting Mr.Bond. You have a vivid information...for a banker....perhaps I should commision you to write a novel.....
James Bond : Oh, I was not been lost at sea.......adrift?

I'll post some more dialogues in my next post......
