Harry Potter humbles James Bond

Bad news for James Bond fans.....Harry Potter has just humbled the record earnings of 22 James Bond movies with only five of them, after the recent hit Harry Potter and The Order Of Phoenix, raked around USD 924 million. The Potter series raked in a record USD 4.47 billion surpassing James Bond's record of USD 4.44 billion as well as Star Wars series (USD 4.23 billion). It sounds party time for The Warner Bros. Productions as two more Potter films are yet to come......

Well, let me defend the MI:6 agent....in the 60s and the 70s, when most of the Bond movies were released, the ticket prices weren't that high, considering the extreme price rise as of today. Then you can imagine the amount earned by the Bond franchise if the movies were released with such high rates.....Potter would be nowhere.

JamBo does it AGAIN ! ! !

The MI:6 agent has cooled others' heels yet again!! The Aston Martin with a James Bond label was voted as the coolest car in a survey conducted by Coolbrands. The automobile major beat other heavy weight brands like Apple's iPod, Google's YouTube...... Most of the top twenty were internet, games majors. Yet the car company surpassed all of them, probably because of the James Bond label and the success of Casino Royale. Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Gez said, "Our exciting, design-led programme of new models and unparalleled attention to detail has made a major impact in the world of international culture." . Well, to be very frank, OO7's label is enough to promote a brand to the topmost position....

Aston Martin V8 Vantage to be auctioned!

Yes, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, one of the most featured car for Bond films will be auctioned in order to donate the amount to the UNICEF (Chinese division) to initiate road safety awareness programmes. The car was driven by two englishmen- Richard Meredith and Phil Colley who completed a forty nine-day epic journey on 14 August 2007, after travelling through about eighteen countries, to raise awareness and much-needed funds for children’s road safety campaigns in developing countries. The car will be auctioned at Bonhams. The price is expected to be around 50,000 to 60,000 pounds.
