The car was driven by two englishmen- Richard Meredith and Phil Colley who completed a forty nine-day epic journey on 14 August 2007, after travelling through about eighteen countries, to raise awareness and much-needed funds for children’s road safety campaigns in developing countries. The car will be auctioned at Bonhams. The price is expected to be around 50,000 to 60,000 pounds.

Good idea, actually. The film company doesn't have to pay for storage or disposal of the car, UNICEF (China) gets publicity, and people around the world have something to talk and write about.
Classic win/win/win situation.
